Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder(OCD)

What is OCD?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is  a mental health condition characterized by unwanted thoughts or worries (obsessions) that makes an individual  feel anxious. To try to ease this anxiety, they do specific things repeatedly (compulsions), like washing hands many times or checking things over and over. These actions can take up a lot of time and make it hard to do regular activities. OCD can be very distressing and can significantly impact daily functioning and quality of life. It is a chronic condition, but with proper treatment, including therapy and/or medication, individuals can learn to manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives.
